What is an activation?
When you install Drew on your PC, you have to enter a license code. This happens automatically when you request a free trial. When you purchase Drew Business or Drew Solo, we email you a serial number.
Drew creates an activation for your PC when you enter your serial and click Register. This means that Drew stores your hardware fingerprint on our license server and creates a license file on your PC.
Drew compares this file with the data on our license server when it starts up.
This is how Drew makes sure your license is still valid. Drew can also detect when a user tampered with the file.
Can I have one activation or multiple ones?
For trials, you can have only one activation.
Drew Business has floating licenses and unlimited activations. There is actually a default limit, but please contact us and we can increase this number for you.
Drew Solo supports one activation.
