We have two license types for Lightning: floating and PC-bound

Floating licenses

A floating license uses a shared pool of licenses. You check out an available license when you start your work and return it when you’re done. Read more at about floating licenses.

PC-bound licenses

The PC-bound licenses are locked to your machine, so each license can be used on a single PC. This license type is a great default since most engineers use fasteners every day. Read more at about PC-bound licenses.
