Supported fastener types
Lightning has a unique approach for every fastener type. Bolts have a thread, a length and could use a washer, whereas washers have no thread, but they still have an M-prefix for the diameter.
You select a fastener type in step 3 of the Settings window.
All fastener types and their properties
These are the fastener types currently supported by Lightning.
|Fastener type||Has thread||Has M-prefix||Has length options||Has fit||Needs washer||Type in xml file|
|Other (with length)||x||Other|
|Other (without length)||OtherWithoutLength|
- We add an M (for metric) prefix to the diameter if the fastener type has a thread or an M-prefix.
- You can read more about XML files to speed up the setup process here.
