Add a sheet for every sub-weldment

Sub-weldments (see this article from the SOLIDWORKS help) let you define multiple weldment bodies that belong together.

Drew detects these features and can create a drawing sheet for each one.

You can also add a sheet for every sheet metal body or a sheet for every unique body.

A sheet per sub-weldment

Just click the Add sub-weldment sheets button in the Drew toolbar when you are creating a drawing:

Which items are added to a sub-weldment sheet?

We can add these objects to every sub-weldment sheet:

• The default Sheet Size from the Blueprint
• A 3D view
• One or more 2D views
• Blocks or notes (optional)
• Outer dimensions (optional)

All of these are optional. You can change these settings in the Blueprint using the Settings window.
